Singer Jessica Simpson narrowly missed an awkward meeting with her ex-husband Nick Lachey and his girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo after she changed her holiday plans at the very last minute.The star had been due to join her sister Ashlee and her boyfriend Pete Wentz at an exclusive resort in Costa Rica for a romantic break with her new lover, football player Tony Romo.But according to New York Post's gossip column Page Six, Simpson decided to cancel her stay at the Four Seasons hotel and instead jet to Mexico to spend time with her parents and Romo's Dallas Cowboys teammates.It was later revealed that Lachey was booked into the luxurious Exclusive Resorts complex in Costa Rica, right next to the hotel where Simpson had been due to stay. No word yet if Jessica was tipped off.
