MICK JAGGER FIGHTING FOR KNIGHTHOOD

Rolling Stone singer Mick Jagger is adding his support to a campaign to give British comedian Ken Dodd a knighthood. The singing icon is believed to have joined a number of other United Kingdom celebrities and signed the online petition in a bid to urge British prime minister Gordon Brown to include the 80 year old funnyman on his list of recommended honorees for Queen Elizabeth II in 2009. And organizer Bob Pitt is convinced Jagger’s signature is genuine, because advanced Internet software had confirmed the entry came from his Surrey, England, home. He says, "It (the petition)’s been a massive success, with 2,500-odd signatures so far. We’re targeting the New Year’s Honors List…"It was such a good sight seeing the signature of Sir Mick Jagger on the website."
