The Spice Girls

The Spice Girls finished their weird reunion tour with an emotional message to fans, thanking them for their support but insisting the group will now split for good. The band completed their last show in Toronto, Canada, on Tuesday night after a world tour which kicked off in December. And the five-piece marked their final concert by posting a message on their Web site paying tribute to all of their devoted supporters. The statement reads, "Our time is up ... we've come to the end of the road ... there are tears of both sadness and joy. Look how far we've come! "Who would have thought that our reunion could have turned out to be this amazing? It just shows what can grow out of an exciting thought, an idea, a hope, a dream. "Yes, our reunion tour is proof that dreams do come true. Ten years on, you came back still wanting more ... and it looks like we made some new friends along the way."You have inspired and ignited us with each show, the 47 that we performed, each time was amazing and it is thanks to you."The post was ended with lyrics from their 1998 hit single "Goodbye."The Spice Girls' farewell tour was cut short last month, with the group scrapping proposed trips to Australia, China and South Africa due to "personal commitments."
