MADONNA'S FRIENDS COME TO DEFENCE

Madonna And Guy Richie

Guy Richie and singing star Madonna's marriage is far from in trouble, according to the couple’s friend Thandie Newton. She insists they’re "having a good time". The actress has defended the pop superstar and her movie maker husband, describing the couple’s relationship as "all good". The marriage came under intense scrutiny earlier this month when Ritchie failed to show up at New York’s Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony, where his wife was honored. But Newton - who recently worked with Ritchie on new movie RocknRolla - says, "They’re having a good time, as far as I know! I went to their house in the country - it’s lovely. It’s all good! I just saw them the other day - they’re having a great time. "Oh, he’s (Ritchie’s) lovely! He’s a lovely, lovely, lovely man! Awesome he’s just like - sort of perfect!"
