It was supposed to be a surprise, in case of a nuclear attack, but I suppose there's no harm in letting the cat out of the bag now - wink, wink". Now that would be a very sweet gesture - but it doesn't explain Moon Base Luna! It doesn't explain a lot of other stuff either! Now this guy sounds like he's got some answers!!!
They're very mathematically minded! That explains the crop circles! They are an attempt at communications in a language of pure media - our content based thinking of course can not decipher it. Since most of the patterns are circular - the circle is the base form of 'Nature's language' - the key is, naturally enough, Pi! Any race having reached even a Kepler level of sophistication should've been able to unravel their 'meaning' - though if we may borrow from McLuhan their 'meaning' is incidental to their intended effect (remember that In Close Encounters of the Third Kind the alien communication was in the form of 6 tone music).
As for those 16 humans who boldly went where no one has gone before, I am happy to report that they were delicious!! Krilll lives not by chlorophyll alone!
