After DJ Am's tragic death made the headlines there was plenty of speculation about what really happened. While some thought his death was the result of a relapse, others suspected suicide. Perhaps this was because of the large number of undigested Oxycontin in his stomach, combined with the fact that both his bed room door and apartment door were barricaded shut. It was as if he didn't want to be disturbed. A picture of he current ex girlfriend Hayley Wood, as well as a card from her, were near by.Now this had some friends speculating that Hayley might've had something to do with Adam Goldstein's state of mind. They mentioned that he'd been really down in the dumps since he & Hayley broke up. They also mentioned that Adam had desperately wanted to keep seeing her, but that the aspiring model & actress had had enough of him. In other words she broke it off. As an unnamed source told People Magazine, "She ended it, and he didn't want it to end," the source is reported as saying. "The breakup hurt him. He hadn't been in a good place lately. For the past week, he wasn't really around, he was keeping to himself, and he was blowing people off."
Naturally Hayley has a thing or two to say about that, like: "Any indication that this horribly tragic accident happened because of a rumored breakup is not only untrue but disgusting." She said that to US Weekly only recently. She went on to tell them that, "We were very much together at the time of his passing, and I love him very much." Now in her defense she was seen crying in public shortly after the news broke. That doesn't mean that they were still together. It might as easily mean that an aspiring actresses has to be aware of how she's publicly perceived. If she comes off as the Mary Kate Olsen in this scenario then her goose might be cooked career wise. Besides, I'm sure that she had no idea how well liked DJ AM was when she dumped him!
