Gotlieb didn't have much of a career. For the last few years he was the voice of the Affleck duck. Insurance mascot can be a rough gig, even if you're Erin Esurance! The popular spokestoon got canned after Esurance decided that single young men living in their parent's basement weren't the demographic they wanted to reach. For one thing these duds don't own cars. So they replaced her with a series of new commercials so lackluster that they don't reach any demographic - not even hard core late night info mercial viewers! As for Erin she's currently doing fan conventions with Kim Possible!
Tasteless is part of comedy, but it's important to know where the line is drawn. There's a rule of thumb that should help you. You can make fun of people's "foibles" and character failings, because that's stuff they ought to know better about. You can't make fun of their misfortunes. When some one's going around like their shit don't stink - "I've never had plastic surgery", then they might be fair game. Whereas making fun of some kid in a wheel chair, or some one who's just been in a car accident, just isn't cool.
