The next blogger to be interviewed was Jessica from her amazing! blog called Star Violet Beauty.
Jessica's blog is currently as number 51 on Wiki's Top Beauty Blogs - now that's pretty impressive! If you haven't already, I suggest you check it now, because you really wont de disappointed, it's fab, and she is so lovely too! :)
When did you start blogging and what made you create one?
I started blogging just over a year ago now, but to be honest it somehow feels like much longer. I actually started watching youtube videos before I had any idea about the blogging community and found out about blogs through there, and after a while of reading a few different ones I decided to start my own!
What do you enjoy blogging about?
After all this time I would actually say that the comments I get from my lovely readers is the main reason that I blog. It would be easy to say all of the great events I get to go to and the samples I get sent to review, but nothing makes me happier than someone taking a few minutes out of their day to leave me a nice little comment. Definitely makes it all worth while. Oh and all of the girls I get to chat with on twitter on a daily basis too.
What sort of blogs do you enjoy reading?
I like to read all sorts of different blogs really - I love the way you can have a nosey into someone's daily life (totally not in a stalker way, haha!) on more personal blogs or the way you can find out some fab tips and tricks on beauty blogs and keep up to date on new product launches, and even the amazing style inspiration you get from fashion blogs. It's also such a great way to actually get an honest opinion on something, I've pretty much ditched my obsession with magazines to read down-to-earth blogs instead.
Name some of your favourite blogs...
There are actually so many that I enjoy. My fashion faves are Samantha - http://www.beauty-crush.com/ Kavita - http://iheartvintagex.blogspot.com/ and Lauren - http://laurenwoodward.blogspot.com/ at the moment!
Apart from blogging what do you enjoy doing?
Lordy, I'm actually one of those sad people that can never answer this question. Which leads me smoothly onto the next question, ahemm..
What are your favourite make-up brands?
The first few brands that pop to my mind are Illamasqua (my ultimate favourite high-end brand), Sleek (my favourite cheap brand), Liz Earle (favourite skincare brand) and then Barry M, Topshop Make Up and Nars.
Any top beauty tips you’d like to share?
Well currently my favourite trick is to use a muslin cloth on patchy fake tan areas. It buffs away the dead skin cells on the skin as well as any pesky fake tan that won't budge!
If you could only wear one piece of makeup for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I'm going to be really indecisive and say either foundation or mascara. They both have equal places in the superficial part of my heart.
Do you have a favourite shop?
Selfridges. I could literally spend a whole week in that store. My dream is to go there one day when it's shut and try on all of the make up in the beauty hall, eat all of the food in the mini supermarket and cupcake area and then try on all of the designer clothes, how amazing would that be!
Do you have a favourite piece of clothing/outfit, if so what?
Currently I'm loving my black playsuit by H&M, it cost just £20 and goes with everything. Perfect for when I'm travelling around London on a hot day! But then again, I think my McQueen scarf will always be my absolute fave piece of clothing that I own, for obvious reasons!
If you could go on a holiday anywhere you wanted, right now, where would you go?
The Carribean! Now my mind is drifting off thinking about all of those gorgeous beaches and Pina Coladas..
What do you think the most important thing in life is?
Being happy.
