Katherine Heigl is gonna be leaving Grey's Anatomy, and she`s gonna be taking TR Knight with her. James Pickens Jr (Dr Richard Weber) when asked by US Magazine on Feb 7th, confirmed the troublesome twosome were leaving. He made it sound amicable enough, and claimed that they were 'pursuing other career paths'.Speaking parenthetically - listening between the lines
However Pickens goes onto say some other stuff to. For instance he claims that TR Knight was constantly complaining about everything, and then running to his pal Heigl for back up. The generally feeling is that the pair were a drag and that the energy on the set is gonna be much higher without them.

So I guess that no one is gonna be throwing them any going away parties, no matter how glad they are to see them leave. Knight had been the source of trouble on the set since Isaiah Washington's departure. Washington's made some comments about Knight's sexuality that some how got into the papers, perhaps because a reporter for the tabloids had been invited on set that day. After that there was no saving the fellow.

Heigl then went on to attach herself pretty firmly to Knight. This was perhaps in an effort to come off politically correct and on the right side of the issues. They also tended to back each other up in the behind the scenes power struggles. As a matter of fact the pair have been tormenting the GA producers pretty well non stop for the past few months with contract renegotiations and other demands. The 64 000 question is "Did they jump, or were they pushed?"
It's gonna be a long long time
There are no tears being shed for them either on the set, or by former GA fans. The general consensus on Internet message boards is "Hurray!" There is a feeling that the show has slipped drastically in quality over the past few years - with Heigl and Knight getting the blame. Heigl seemed on the verge of a film career for awhile, but that dried up as she got a reputation for being difficult. So with their steady gig gone, it looks like it's gonna be awhile until these not ready for prime time players resurface again. Hope they saved their GA money.
