Katie Jordon Price - Home & Away

Subtle as ever

OK, rapid rejection

Katie Jordon Price is right at home in LA. She already had the fake tits, now she's got the fake tan too. What next? Possibly enormous lips, and maybe a Reality TV deal. Oh yeah, she's on that already.

The top is Ralph Lauren and the shade is something called 'neon pink' - it's been around for years in the form of plastic front lawn flamingos. If you wanna blend into the LA scenery look tacky, but expensive.

One of the first rules of celebrity is get noticed, & Katie's hard to miss. You'd see her coming in a get up like that if the lights were off! It's hard to look directly at her in that get up without eye strain. Under certain types of fluorescent lighting, she must be a complete eyesore! Also if you're gonna go out in public with a get up like that on then don't stop and linger by the side of the street. Passing drivers couldn't be blamed for getting the wrong idea - & that little ensemble sends out all the wrong signals!!

Hopefully she'll return to whatever senses she possessed before she goes past the point of no return on her LA head trip. Many don't. Model Stephanie Seymour, for instance, had her collagen filled lips explode on her during a transatlantic high altitude jet trip. She never modelled again.

Another one not exactly known for subtly is Paris Hitlon. How's she finding London? Nippy!

In other news: Liv Tyler talks -

BTW - for all you worried Stephanie Seymour fans out there, Stephanie and her lips are currently fine. Here's the pic to prove it.

'Mad as hell' and we can't get enough

With the Christian Bale flip out parodies multiplying out of control it might be time to brush up on Internet memetics 101.

Meme, myself, & I

Now these memes can grow out of control and over run the cultural landscape like so many well fed Tribbles. However most of the time they usually burn out as they are replaced by newer and more relevant ones. So good news Bale, within a month we should be talking about something else, as long as you don't keep the issue alive by constantly reinforcing it - like Tom Cruise. Then you risk losing your real world fame into an Internet echo chamber infinity loop.

New Testament Memetics: No one comes to the Father but by meme? The Medium is the Messenger

Cognitive short cut: It may make more sense if you associate memetic with the similar sounding word 'mimic'. Music and jokes are basic types of memes - the opening of Beethoven's 5th or 'knock, knock' for instance. So are proverbs and religious parables - 'the Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed', with the Christian called to be a meme of Christ - 'Be ye imitators of me, even as I am an imitator of God'. It's no accident that Christianity has spread faster and farther than any of the competitors. The more philosophical Buddhism, for instance, lacks Christianity's highly memetic nature, and even the Dalai Lama may have to resort to quoting the Sermon on the Mount to make a point.
