Megan Fox's Brave Struggle With Tourette's Syndrome

Tourette's Syndrome: The elephant in the room is in your head!

Most of you know Megan Fox as the impossibly lovely young actress from the Transformers movies. What you may not know is that the brave young beauty has waged a personal struggle with Tourette's Syndrome. Tourette's is a neurological condition that short circuits the brain usual inhibitors. So a person can say what ever pops into their head. In fact they can't stop themselves. For instance in church a person may start shouting profanities - simply because they're aware that they shouldn't. The more they think about it the harder it is to stop. The same holds true in any socially tense situation, like job interviews and dates. In fact Tourette's Syndrome has been nick named the Swearing Sickness.

There has to be a rational explanation for her crazy talk

Now though Megan looks like a young woman who's got it all together, she in fact is a Tourtette's sufferer. The condition as even affected her career. For instance when she's in an important interview, the usually bright and articulate Ms. Fox can suddenly blurt out the most inexplicable things. They're usually of a sexual nature too, since she knows what's on everyone's mind. Ms. Fox has been quoted as making such statements during interviews as "I'm a man, a man who likes cock", and "I'm like a tranny, I'm Alan Alda." These have become known as Megan's WTF moments, and they've been piling up. So much so that Megan had to give a recent interview reassuring her public that "I'm not some retard". Then she impulsively launched into an attacked against Scarlett Johansson - whom she has nothing against.

Megan's mouth

Well it turns out that Megan has been waging a losing battle against her condition - which she has tried to conceal from the public. Now that the pressure has mounted, it's become impossible for Fox to keep her mouth in check. When nervous, or frightened, anything may pop out without warning. For instance in a recent interview when asked whether she only gets roles because of the way she looks, Megan's nervous mouth once again got the better of her. Megan replied with a full scale profanity laced Tourette's attack: “It p***es me when people f***ing complain that I’m too beautiful to get this part! That’s bulls***. You wouldn’t be working if you weren’t attractive." Well that's basically what she said. I had to clean it up a lot for posting. Megan seemed to calm down until she got to the point about filming in Egypt. As the subject started to veer back to her appearance, Megan's mouth once again started to wander: “I’m not a big deal over there,” she said. “They like blondes so it was like ‘whatever’ with me. They liked me because they thought I was 15; everybody thought I was really young.” Somewhere before she got to the point about them liking her over there because they wanted to do it with little girls, Megan was hustled out of the room by her publicist, who had placed a large plastic ball gag into the actress's mouth!

Megan is not the crazy woman she can come off as. She is actually a sweet quiet girl who likes staying in and tending to her growing menagerie of pets. She is also bright and well spoken, when not frightened out of her wits. She had hoped to keep her personal struggle with Tourette's Syndrome private. The mounting pressure surrounding her sexually charged public image has made this impossible. Each new interview has become an obstacle course of unavoidable pitfalls. The most she can hope for right now is that her fans will understand, and be patient with her. Her condition should in no way affect her career as a Hollywood actress (by her own admission the most superficial thing that you can do). Meanwhile Megan is being treated with medications, and until they kick in, a strip of duct tape across the mouth. Wish her luck!
