An update on the Victoria Principal gun incident. As has been reported a former employee of Ms Principal's named Mirabel Baregas claims that the Dallas actress pulled a gun on her. Now Principal has responded. She admits that she pulled a gun on her maid, but it's not what you think.Principal claims that the maid was uncontrollable. Further more she's about 6 ft tall. So Principal was in fear of her. On the day of the showdown Baregas got into a fight with another maid. She then stormed out of the house taking Principal's Shih Tzu with her. After an hour Principal became concerned and phoned Baregas on her cell, demanding the return of the dog. Baregas returned, dragging the dog by the leash behind her. She was pulling the small dog so forcefully that it's front paws were off the ground, and it's eyes were bugging out.
Baregas then demanded that Prinicpal pay her. She began pounding her fist on the table and became threatening. Principal ran upstairs and grabbed her gun. She then came back down to the kitchen and pointed it at the maid, and ordered her to leave. Baregas lunged towards Principal, at which point Principal cocked the hammer. That did the trick, as Baregas ran out of the house and locked herself into the guest house. That's where sheriff's dept deputies found her when the came to extract her.
Now the whole thing is up before the civil courts; with Baregas suing Principal and claiming that the actress is a gun crazed head case, and Principal suing Baregas and claiming that the maid is a violent animal abuser. Documents confirm that Principal's dog was taken to the vet the following day and treated for stress induced gastritis. Also the Sheriff;s Dept confirms that they investigated Principal on the gun charges but dismissed the case on insufficient evidence.
