Bad news for Desperate Housewife Marcia Cross. Her husband stockbroker Tom Maloney has been diagnosed with cancer.

William Balfour, the accused in the notorious Jennifer Hudson case has pled not guilty, while appearing in Chicago's Cook County Criminal Court. Balfour - the estranged husband of Hudson's sister, is accused of butchering many of Hudson's relatives, including her 8 year old nephew.

The coroners report on Paula Goodspeed - the American Idol contestant and Paula Abdul stalker - is in. Goodspeed died from an overdose of prescription drugs, and the death has been ruled a suicide.

Smiley Miley Cyrus has gotten the boot from Sunday school. Seems the buck toothed teen star got into trouble when her pastor caught her texting her boyfriend. Her boyfriend is 20 year old underwear model and 'good Christian' Justin Gaston. It's probably best not to make too much of this - though Gaston has the Billy Ray Cyrus seal of approval & is allowed 'sleep over privileges' - Miley has said that she plans to dump him once she can make Leonardo DiCaprio realize that they are meant to be together.

Another dog story concerning Jennifer Aniston. Her Marley & Me scored big at the BO, and even out did ex hubby Brad Pitt's Benjamin Button during the latter's opening weekend. BB is what Pitt is reduced to since Angelina Jolie won't let him do the Fight Club stuff anymore - well that and drinkin'. Well Aniston's real life dog decided to make a break for it - just like many of the men in her life. This time a paparazzo - who keeps Jen under constant surveillance on the off chance that she might actually do or say anything interesting - intervened and prevented the animal from escaping. Better luck next time, Norman. As for Brad, well he's coping with his life in captivity too. Word has it that while premiering Button in Germany, he was drunk every night, and often out without his harridan sidekick Biglips.

Amy Winehouse's father Mitch has revealed that Wino has been at death's door at least twice. Apparently the Grimreaper finds her as unappealing as everyone else, 'cause it seems he sent her back! No wonder she's fighting Blake Civil Fielder's attempts to divorce her - he seems like the only one who is even remotely interested in her these days. 

Remember kids, don't do drugs, and if you do then don't do them like Amy does! She's doing more to deter adolescent experimentation than a battalion of Nancy Reagans could ever hope to! As for Amy, there's still some fight left in her yet. Latest reports say that she trashed her hotel room in what has been described as a violent rum binge!
