Do you believe that standardized testing is an accurate measure of intelligence? Well then it might come as some surprise to you that George W Bush's SAT scores were higher than Bill Clinton's. Clinton scored 1032, Bush the Younger scored 1206 (IQ conversion to an estimated 110 and 123 respectively). Surprising but is there a trend? Let's see.
The link between cleverness and wickedness is common knowledge (get rid of common knowledge and it's possible for the intelligent to retain their virtue!), so it should be no surprise that some of the right's most nefarious personalities also aced their SATs. Rush Limbaugh got 1530 ( in comparison Mr Spock Al Gore only got 1355 - still making him brighter than his boss). As we move along the food chain we find that Ben Stein - enthusiastic promoter of intelligent design, or evolution detractor, depending on your view - scored 1573. Not that Ben is the smartest guy in the room during those painful fundraisers. Mr No Spin Bill O Reilly reportedly scored 1585. Now that's near perfect, and more than James "Hi my IQ is 184" Woods scored. He got a mere 1579. In fact O Reilly's score almost matches Bill Gates, got got 1590 on the SATs, just 10 points shy of perfection! 
Yet all of these 1000 watt bulbs might be out shone by the smartest, and perhaps most evil of the group. Who might that be? Well in an interview with Vanity Fair Tina Simpson said that her famous daughter Jessica got tested in the 5th grade, when teachers suspected that there was something wrong with her. The result was an IQ score of 160! Leave it to VF to break the scoops! As a matter of fact that puts her in the same class as another famous blond bimbo Jayne Mansfield. When Jayne wasn't dumbing it up on screen she relaxed by playing violin, solving quadratic equations, and occasionally sticking her cleavage into Sophia Loren's face!
Of course this was bad news for Simpson since it blew her cover as America's No 1 dumb bunny. People like to think that Chicken of the Sea retort was something that got innocently blurted out, not something she spent the previous night dreaming up, perhaps using anagrams. "Nick dear, while I was cracking away at the London Times crossword this morning it occurred to me that the following little jape might prove amusing for the show." "Sheesh, Jessica, watch what you say! You're just lucky that the camera's aren't here!" Jessie of course did some adroit side stepping of the issue in a subsequent SF Gate interview. When asked if it was true she responded by looking dumbfounded. When they followed up by asking her what books she read, she asked if catalogues counted. Good save there Simpson!
