Sue This

It looks like Paris Hilton is in a bit of legal trouble. Paris starred in and produced a little film called Pledge This. It was supposed to be a sexy little romp about sorority girls. What could possible go wrong? Well apparently the film makers feel that Paris was negligent in her role as exec producer, by failing to properly promote the film. So they want 8 million bucks.

Now Paris feels she did her level best to promote the film, 'cause like she says at every red carpet event she was all like "See my film, it's cool". Or as Paris would say "I totally did my best". So maybe it was a communications problem. The producers claim that they couldn't reach their wayward star. Paris herself admits, under oath, that it's possible. "I like lose my cell all the time, I get a new one every 2 weeks". When presented with a cell bill on the stand, Paris responded "I've never looked at my phone bill in my life!"

The problem might even have been that Paris was unclear about her executive producer duties. When asked on the stand if she knew what an exec producer does, she said "Sure. You get really cool people in on the film."

Something tells me that Paris isn't taking the proceedings seriously. In fact she seems to be turning the trial into a 3 ring circus by pulling her usual stunts. Then again look on the bright side - Paris is back! The entertainment gossip world desperately needs her (For a while I was afraid that she might go domestic on us)! Besides the film makers couldn't have taken the project that seriously themselves if they hired Paris. She's a bit old to play a sorority sister.
